Miles and miles of lakes and rivers are just waiting to be explored. Bring your canoe or kayak, or use one of our fishing boats to troll the quiet waters. Whether you come for the fishing, hunting, or birdwatching, the snowmobiling, color tours, or just for the stillness, you will find it here. The cottages are just a few minutes' drive from State land, convenient for hunters.

 

The village of Ellsworth is tucked away amidst the rolling pastures and farmland of northern Antrim County, near the Charlevoix County line, in scenic northern Michigan. There's no train or express way here to lull you to sleep. Instead, you will drift off at night to the sound of frogs and crickets and awaken to birds, up early to get that worm.

 

Your hosts will be happy to give you directions to Chain O’ Lakes Outdoor Sports for fishing supplies and convenience foods, to local farms for the freshest fruits and veggies, to the Farmer's Exchange for gas, or to the local watering hole for the best burger in the north and also takeout pizza. Maps and information to other local shops, attractions, and tourist traps are available.
